Help with gambling in Ontario costs nothing, and the main line answers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The second half of this page explains how the Fisher Drive desk checks the facts in this guide.

Where to get help
- ConnexOntario: call 1-866-531-2600, text CONNEX to 247247 or chat at connexontario.ca. It is confidential, costs nothing and covers problem gambling, mental health and addiction, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- My PlayBreak: a casino break of 3 or 6 months, or 1 to 5 years, bars you from every Ontario casino and cannot be cut short. To enrol, call the OLG Support Centre at 1-800-387-0098, ask staff at the casino or see a PlaySmart Centre coordinator.
- PlaySmart, OLG's responsible gambling program, has a PlaySmart Centre at every OLG casino, working with the Responsible Gambling Council. The Virtual PlaySmart Centre answers at 1-833-888-2306, 7 days a week, 11 am to 7 pm.
- For a crisis, 988 is the Suicide Crisis Helpline, open 24 hours a day.
Set a limit first
Before the evening starts, decide two numbers: how much money you can spend and how long you will stay. Treat that money as the cost of a night out, already spent. Keep to both numbers once you are on the floor. When either one is reached, step away and head home, even in the middle of a game. In Ontario, no one under 19 may enter or stay in a casino.
